Geek翻译成什么比较好？

	Geek翻译成什么比较好？ ... by daqing ... 31 月 2 天前 ... 2478 次点击 Geek这个词比较难翻译，我看到有些人翻译成“极客”有人翻译成“奇客”。个人感觉这种公式化的“X客”的翻译方法不太好，但又想不出比较贴切的翻译方法。大家有什么想法呢？

Geek的定义:

1.A person who is interested in technology, especially computing and new media.

2.A person who has chosen concentration rather than conformity; one who pursues skill (especially technical skill) and imagination, not mainstream social acceptance.

3.A person with a devotion to something in a way that places him or her outside the mainstream. This could be due to the intensity, depth, or subject of their interest.

Geek is a more specific term. Back in the day, geeks worked at carnivals, and (according to the dictionary) "bit the heads off live chickens." Thankfully, the term now has a different connotation. Like nerds, geeks are smart, but they tend to focus more on technology.

就是说geek旧意是表演某种绝活儿的人，例如咬鸡头的。现意是聪明而且专注技术的人。

As Urban Dictionary explains, these are the people you make fun of in high school and later work for as an adult.
